Our Business

Scott Sander, founder and owner of Durham Painting Company, formerly CallScott Painting, started the business in the early 90's when he decided to do what he did best -- home improvements and customer service! The dog has wagged the tail and his handy man services and friendly demeanor have turned the fledgling home repair business into a successful and well established painting and home improvement company that has served the Triangle for almost 20 years.

Who We Are

Scott and his wife Dorothy developed a love of working together and home improvements when they renovated their first home in New York. It was a cute little cottage style home made from odds and ends during the depression. But they had big ideas for turning it into their little love nest. On the very first night of ownership, boxes not even unpacked, Scott took a sledgehammer to a wall he had determined to remove. From there they went on to completely remodel and renovate every room in the house.  Since that time they have done the same with every home they have lived in since they were married 28 years ago. They see the potential in even the shabbiest of beginnings.

As a result, they appreciate quality workmanship and understand how important it is to the owner. They carried their desire to work together and their enthusiasm for remodeling into a family business. They vowed to treat every customer's home like their own and each individual as a person to be respected.  Their professionalism and customer service has made them one of the most well established residential painting contracting business in Durham.
